I am a former Social Worker with twenty-six years of experience and seven years teaching in a public school and behavioral health setting. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from LeMonye-Owen College and my master in special education from Middle Tennessee State University. Throughout my years of working as a Social Worker and teacher, I have witnessed parents and guardians not properly bonding with their children.

My goal is to emotionally reconnect the parents with their children by increasingly addressing the importance of parental involvement. Counseling with parents, guardians, and their children regarding available resources on behavioral health, relationship skills, social skills, special education, and job readiness skills.

I have several years experience teaching English in middle school, high school, and in a behavioral health setting. I earned my Bachelor of English from Middle Tennessee State University and my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University. Teaching English prepares children to better communicate and understand the world in which they live. In addition, my students develop the critical thinking skills needed to solve problems as they arise in their lives.

My goals are to counsel the parents, guardians, and children on the importance of thinking critically, problem-solving, truancy laws, self-control, and discipline.
